About the Role

As our Pitmaster/Cook, you will be responsible for all aspects of our kitchen operation, including:

• Smoking Meats: Mastering the art of smoking various meats (brisket, ribs, pork, chicken, etc.) using our smokers, pits, and signature rubs and sauces. This includes managing fire, temperature control, and ensuring consistent product quality.
• Food Preparation: Preparing and cooking side dishes and other menu items according to our recipes and standards.
• Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing meat and ingredient inventory, ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste.
• Food Safety & Sanitation: Maintaining a clean and organized work station, adhering to all food safety regulations and procedures.
• Teamwork: Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Recipe Development: Contributing to the development of new and exciting barbecue dishes and specials. (Preferred, but not required)

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pitmaster or Cook preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for BBQ and a commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, with a current food handler’s permit.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
